July Happenings

Welcome to Summer!

This is what everyone in North Idaho raves about! Crystal clear skies, cool water, 16 hours of sunlight and all the recreational activities you can dream of!! Time to take to the water in your boat, paddleboards, kayaks, or even float one of numerous rivers on rafts! The active lifestyle that North Idaho cherishes is riddled with the theme of getting outdoors! We also get to kick off summer with the 4th of July.

fireworks display where there is NO bad seat in the house! Enjoy the festivities in downtown CDA and view the largest single fireworks display in the region or simply pull up a chair in your backyard or front porch. There will be no shortage of fireworks to be seen as our communities celebrate our freedom and the birthday of the greatest country on earth….The United States of America!

Annual Kiddie Parade

July 3rd, 10 am. Begins at 10th and Sherman and ends at Independence Point. This event is free, and everyone is welcome! The theme for the parade is “Wild West,” but kids can come in patriotic dress too.

July 4th, 10 am-12 pm. Sherman Ave (1st-15th street). The theme for the parade is “America the Beautiful.” Go and enjoy the floats created by locals, honoring the brave men and women who have fought and served our incredible country.

July 4th, 6 pm -10 pm, CDA Resort. Includes a dinner buffet, live music, and prime seating for fireworks. Cost for Adults is $125/ticket. $45 for children aged 3-12, and free for kids 2 and under.

July 6th, 1pm-7pm. McEuen Park. Admission costs $35/adult. Designated drivers and children are free! This is a fun event with a variety of beer, cider, yummy food, yard games, and live music. Admission includes six 5oz pours and a commemorative pint glass. Additional drink tickets can be purchased.

July 7th, 14th, 21st, and 28th, 1 pm-4 pm. CDA City Park. There is no cost. Enjoy a free concert every Sunday for most of summer! Check the link for the band line up.

July 3rd, July 18th, July 31st, 7 pm-10 pm. Cost is $40 per adult—must be 21+ to participate. Food and drinks are available to purchase during the cruise. Boarding takes place at Independence Point at 6 pm. Make sure to bring your ID!
