Top 5 Activities for a CDA Summer

We have exceptional summer weather here in Coeur d’Alene, and there are so many activities to enjoy. Here are some of our favorites!

Boating

There are so many different lakes to visit in North Idaho where you can take a boat out to relax in the sun, enjoy the waves, or fish. Coeur d’Alene Lake is just the beginning. You can check out Hauser Lake, Honeysuckle Beach at Hayden Lake, and then there are several lakes up north, like Spirit Lake and Lake Pend Oreille in Sandpoint.

Yoga & Mimosa Cruise

Can’t decide if you want to sip on champagne with the girls or go take an exercise class? No problem! Lake Coeur d’Alene Cruises doesn’t make you choose. You can work on your headstands, down dogs, or just your savasana with a glass of bubbly in hand, while cruising on CDA lake. It takes “booze cruise” to a whole new level.

Bike Riding

Wallace has an incredible cycling trail—15 miles long—that takes you through old mining territory. The Hiawatha Trail has ten tunnels and seven mountain-high trestles. The ride is safe, easy, and downhill. This is a great trail for families.

Hiking

Want to stay a little more local, Tubb’s Hill is a great outdoor opportunity for families and individuals. You can hike up the hill and grab food and drinks at the bottom at the Buoy.

Tubing

Looking for a lazy afternoon, you can cruise down the CDA River. It takes between 2.5 and 3.5 hours. The river does the work while you lay in the tube, enjoying a cold beverage. Grab food and drinks at the Snake Pit after to complete the afternoon! Two vehicles are recommended for this, so you don’t have to walk back after you float—with all your stuff.

We only have two months of summer left. Don’t let them pass you by without trying all our summers have to offer.
