In today’s episode, we sit down with Alyssa from the prep den to talk about prepping. It’s not just for crazy people anymore. Let’s go. North Idaho is a throwback to a better time in American history, North Idaho experience. We have a special guest today. I say that every time but you’re all special to me. Alyssa, I’m gonna say this right. Alyssa? The Sonic? Right? Yes. From the prep den and us. My pleasure. Shoot it. Okay, so what we should touch on like your background, you haven’t always been into this right now? What? Where do you come from? Um, as it relates to this, I just started prepping 12 years ago, okay, maybe it’s 12 years longer than I did for my family. I think it’s where that comes from is probably just a part of my for the same reasons as most people move here. And I just thought that this along with all the things that happened during COVID. And the state of the world, as I’m sure everybody listening to formal? You know, do you want to use this space? Or? How could we make it these items, whether it be products, or just information or community? How could we weave some of that stuff together here in and I’m looking at so she has the prep den, the pyramid that you might be able to see on here. So this is pretty cool. One thing that I really liked about as I saw a lot of stuff on here, talking a just think, well, if I have, you know, 55 gallon drums full of rice, you know, you can live off of that. That’s really not how this works. And I like that, because it does the stuff that you have in So there has to be a strategy. Right. And you know, the strategy is the plan. And this or any other lists, there’s millions of lists out there, give you a place to start, but the way that I like to think of it from from this perspective and recognize that this may actually come into play right at some point and so there will be blind spots and there will be areas of your plan that you just might So you I mean, you started this path you said 12 years ago, from rough personally, yeah, personally. And I guess living in Seattle is probably a good place to do that, because it is very apocalyptic thing that might be of interest just because you know, people deal with different things medically and health wise, and that sort of much of my background is tied to that just due to some things that get that supplement, which is it’s not fancy, you know, it’s not expensive, but I need it in order to live, that would be a problem. Because typically, with medications and things that you have to go other things. And so it just became a part of my mentality, I guess, is to think a little bit ahead. Medications a huge one. I mean, a lot of people would be in a lot of trouble. If they weren’t, didn’t have access to that, and it’s hard to store some of these things. Some of them ready to go and still be a beast. You know, it’s funny that you brought that up the dependency on that because I’m very anti, I’ve been we’ve been recently I’ve been talking about TRT, mightier my good. But then I go to that I go, Well, what happens if the supply diminishes what what will happen to my body when I stopped producing that testosterone and I don’t have a supplement. And I go, man, Same thing in your 50s, right, things change, I’d have about three months to be an animal and establish dominance. And if I couldn’t do it, in that time, I’m done in them just shrivel up. So the what I’m getting to is, is the dependency thing you know, so often people, if people have lived here for 1000s of years without electricity, without all the modern technology, I developed a dependency, like you said, now you have an obvious dependency, right. But I think that the dependency on technology and social media and how you live your life and how you get your food people to focus on learning skills versus having supplies and I’m sure there’s a balance between the two, but what’s your advice on those? Well, so I have there’s another An item that is printed that I called the continuum. And on the continuum, there are seven stages. And at the level one, that means you don’t think about it, you don’t worry you bought some freeze dried food. But you maybe haven’t taken the steps to understand, what would you so the lights go out? Things are weird, and you know, that they’re weird, and they’re gonna stay I turn on my stove. And yeah, yeah, well, you wouldn’t be turning on your server. So like, what do you do there. And so that, I think, is, obviously the the knowledge component, and the learning piece of this takes time, right, and you watching internet clips. So that that was sort of what led me into getting speakers, we’re, we’re doing it in person, I love podcasts, I think, I think they’re fantastic. And they’re becoming sort the garage. I’ve been to I went to a couple of the trainings that you guys have done in life, and it was super valuable. I think one of them that stuck out my mind was Kenny. Yeah. And that’s something I’ve know, what you don’t know. And then, you know, maybe you can dive into it a little bit more, when there’s a little less fear at that point and a little less unknown. Like, if you like camping, you know, that’s it’s actually a fairly big topic. And people will dedicate their lives to understanding it’s to get your brain sort of like open to the idea that this is an area of life that might be worth your time to dig into further down the road. How can we think I know there’s a stigma around prepping? Right? It’s people think it’s weird or something or pop culture aspect to it? Is that it and like, Oh, my, I think well, I mean, you look at some of the people I got friends that they’re like, Well, I have a buried bunker. I can’t tell you where it is. And it’s got all these things and I’m like, do you is right? If something bad happens, the power goes out. We’re gonna have a terrible first 90 days. After that, you’re gonna start seeing clicks, you’re going to start seeing people work together. The gonna happen, you’re gonna run out of fuel in the middle of the Nevada desert, have no idea where you’re at have no resources, except for what’s on your back, and you’re not going to get here. So do? Yeah, and I have evolved since you know, I started this where I was thinking we would each individually, or at least as a, as a family unit, need more than I, then I see it now. And that’s trusted friends and other local people. Because, you know, it really comes down to knowledge, supplies, and community, like community, I think is the biggest part of this. And if you have time some planning ahead of time, where you can connect with other people who have either experience or have supplies that you and the knowledge to of course, that you don’t have, but you know it so you yeah, I think that’s really good advice. Yeah. You know, we keep I have probably at least a month supply of freeze dried food. And I was just writing a note over here, as you were mentioning earlier other people that have a different skill set. Yeah. You know, and I think that’s important. I mean, whatever it is that you can bring, whether it’s security, whether it’s hunting, whether it’s, you know, the knowledge of how to, you know, preserve earthquake does, what Hurricane does what snow does. I mean, those are pretty relatively normal with little variation. People are the issue. I mean, I can’t imagine being in Seattle, San Francisco, LA can expect. And this is how high of a threat level this might be. For us. When you’re talking about prepping, what do you think the biggest threat to society in general right now is to where you would Wham. Yellowstone, others? Yeah, it’s not nature. It’s it is people. And I’ll admit that I tend to be very trusting of other people, just my nature. But I’ve learned over the years, and this has in is not knowing how other people, especially those around us will react. And having to defend ourselves against them would be the most difficult thing. That’d be extremely hard. And what do you think would lead to those types of situations? Do you think like, the biggest threat that we have to get us to that point is like, do you think it’s like a nuclear strike? Or Just food supply? Food? I mean, if you if you listen to there’s some major podcasts? I don’t know. Yeah, before well, like Mike Adams, as an example, you know, health Ranger, and he does his report. without a proper meal, people start losing their minds. And they will do anything that they need to in order to fulfill that basic need. And especially if they see their kids yeah, starving. Right. Yeah, that that opens a whole new element. I think, are you getting out? Like, what would be the disaster that would cause what would good. Guys are right. That I mean, you know, natural things I’m more concerned with. And right. disasters, we if we had an EMP strike, attack, I mean, that could be regional, that could be local, you won’t be cooking your food. Right. The regular. Typical. Yeah. And then yeah, you’d mentioned in medical devices, all of the people in hospitals. Yep. I mean, their generator, their, you know, their backups, it’s probably won’t be working either, because they’re digital, you know, when women will still be having babies. And now you have to do that the old way. I just popped into my head, you know, you’ve got so many people that are addicted to opiates, fentanyl, and hold on. Selective Serotonin Reuptake Inhibitors. There you go. They’re not going to get that all of these things. That’s a whole nother side where you’re going to have a lot of people that are, you know, going through withdrawal or angry because they can’t get And that’s, you know, it’s not to make people fearful, because I do think that we would figure out in time, a way to recreate the foundational, you know, items that we need and the resource that we scenarios, right? And the base of your pyramid is food, water, shelter, and community. All things that we don’t need electronics and everything else for it really kind of resets. Yeah. Well, you got I got a 55 gallon drum full of nine millimeter right? They have all those in the world hidden somewhere, but they live downtown and they don’t know how to hunt they don’t know how to do anything. That’s my fear. Bunch of bunch of people with with want to store all the stuff is there a too much to where it just doesn’t make sense. And it’s creating a sense of a lack of responsibility to actually start learning how to live off the land. Yeah, the cheap and easy way, you know the storing in a, you get a Mylar bag that costs 40 cents on oxygen absorber, throw your rice in there, seal it up with a curling iron, right. And that will last way to be strategic and very tactical about what it is you are saving so that you have nutrient dense and calorie dense foods, you have the clean water with, you know, perhaps using some say we’ve like empty calories. It’s not going to really do you any good. Yeah. Long term it would it would let you get something into your body, but it’s it’s not going to be so five years with jarred pickles is not necessarily what I need to be twinkies. Twinkies, Twinkies to last forever. I don’t think so I think I think just in for in our own family, what we intend to do is make sure that we’ve got that first, you know, X number of months covered. But the more important thing is lot of other people don’t have. But we don’t have what she has. And so we’ve already negotiated amongst us. I’m not saying Laura specifically, but we have our we have our group. And I think that I mean, there’s a lot of stuff to like, I mean, this guy, you can’t go eat everything. Okay, hard for me. Have you played Oregon Trail? If I chew on sticks, I did I know how to ration because I played Oregon Trail. Okay, I know how to ration my food. I never went big on that. So I know how to keep that’s why I’m mentioning the chlorine dioxide, right? Because you know, that there are ways of getting some of these things that are not broadly marketed. Their legal, their, you know, all of the Yeah. We don’t really know anything about existing without the infrastructure. that’s been, that’s been cool. I mean, I imagine if you wear glasses, or those are you nearsighted? I’m nearsighted. Right, so those glasses go away? Yep. Things change really quickly. Yeah, I think that’s a lot of the dependency that we don’t think about. It’s something that that interests me, too, is the fact that on, you know, they know how to find their water, they know how to find their food. And I find that interesting, because have you ever spent time studying those active cultures that don’t utilize Basically hunter gatherers, right and yeah, a lot of third world countries and places where people have to rely. It’s really different in a northern climate. Yeah. You know, because if you if you look at the way way that people live their lives even if they are less sort of the Western world, they will prepare easier to go to the store and get processed after geez, I know sounds like a lot of work. We’ve been trying to we’ve had a garden, large garden deer proof, you know, all the things I get are organic dirt and everything else. And then you grow the food. And it doesn’t end up being all that All right. You know, my strategy is I’m going to plant two zucchini plants instead of one. And I will be able to feed the world. It’s surprising how little feels so fast when things go bad. Like you said that people don’t know how to preserve things like that. I don’t think we can screenshare if you’re listening, look up the there we go. And there’s a bridge that forms you can actually, you could potentially don’t try it walk across into Russia and back over that area. The small diamond Island, I got all fixated on this round. And that’s type of stuff that intrigues me because it people will find a way there’s there’s smart people. So when I think about all this stuff happening, I just know that there’s people out could almost make the argument that if you lost all of these modern amenities, and you were able to survive, maybe it wouldn’t be that bad, right? Like we get so caught up, all of the stress in my do you think it depends on where you are? Largely, there are a few people that I have either met or heard about who do wilderness training classes and, you know, you’re truly off grid for two weeks, live pletely off grid, she only has a certain period of time where she would be able to maintain that. Hmm, what would you say to someone that lives like in a city? A big city? La? Yeah, like, how do you what do you do? I mean, well, yeah, just smooth it out. But you know, a lot of them are unwilling to I make choices. Yeah, good point. And I, we’ve we’ve seen that this has been the greatest. I think heart ache for me is watching what happened over COVID is difficult choices to be sure. And I don’t catastrophic. That happens in the near term future. What that is, I don’t know, I don’t know exactly when it’s going to happen. But we have time right now, to get some things in place. And if that I think there’s a lot of, you’re gonna go, go, okay. It’s, I think it’s important to be able to be mobile, too, right. So my advice to someone in that situation, if you can’t move, or if something happens before you’re able to move, is to recognize like now. And she did that. So she got ahead of the traffic. And if you’re ever in a situation, I’ve been in this twice, where I had to help evacuate a large town, not even that large, 30 40,000 they didn’t have to get out of the car and run through flames like many other friends did. And you know, potentially could have saved the lives of our kids and my family. Just making that hard choice off, right, which is, you know, it’s hard to go back. Sometimes you have to go against the norm to make that decision, because she had friends that were like, Oh, I gotta, I’m gonna do whatever and go fart around for 30 minutes. And those are the ones number one thing. So keep that in mind. You may be in a situation, depending on what kind of disaster happens that you are simply unable to get that stuff. So you need to get as much as you No, I think that’s good. And I think there’s a false sense of security that people get, you know, we went recently and I was like, Man, I started thinking about things. I’m like, I gotta I gotta start supplies. I hear all the time. Like, oh, yeah, I got this. And I got these things. I’m kind of like, two years worth of food. Yeah. Good luck, dude. So in in your field, what do you suggest for drill where I’m like, alright, you grab all our stuff, and we’re out. But for somebody like me that has stuff at home food supplies, medical equipment, emergency equipment, what is your recommendation I have, say a couple things about that. I have a I’m just calling it the rack in my shop that I’ve built out in another location that I’m transferring over into the shop right now which has stuff from the back, and then take the good stuff from the front and actually eat it. Throughout the year. I think that that’s what people I did that initially, yeah, I got all the stuff spent 1000s of goes back to I think what we we talked about earlier touched on is the knowledge the learning is has to be consistent. And then community. Because you will only be able to do so much for yourself or meal from the stuff that you have in your garage. Yeah. Once a month, once a week, once a week. Well, yeah, just so you’re constantly rotating through. Okay, I see your train. I don’t want to eat this. Keep it fresh. space, the space meal. Yeah, he’s talking about base meals. The pasta. Gotcha. You know, like, because I don’t have to touch the space. Oh, no, no, we leave that stuff for the massage room. You know, doomsday scenario stroganoff I see people go like, Oh, I have this. I have this water straw in it. And it does all these things. I’m like, it seems pretty simple. But have you used that? Yeah. Like, I feel like, if you’re buying something, Have you ever watched survivor? To start, it’s still a classic. I’m like, go at it. Let’s see. It’s nice outside, we got electricity still sit inside the air conditioning and watch you. I think people need to practice that stuff. I think putting yourself in that position to be able to say what exactly are the steps that we need to go through not what do I have? But this just happened? What do you what would you order if that bomb you know went off somewhere else in the world? What would you look to? What would you say in that moment to yourself and and your family? We need the stuff when we Radiation tablets. There we go with us. I anything really is like what? Oh, you don’t have any of those? Yeah, tablets or? I mean. Yeah. And so yeah. And so it will secure Hey, thyroid you’re good there you don’t have why No, I don’t have to just iodine basically. Yeah, it’s a certain type you can you can knows my planet nuclear striper. We’re not going to mention it to nobody else. Oh, yeah. No, we don’t talk about that. We’re all doomed if it goes that route, by the way, I just guess about that. So if one if one person launches nukes, everybody watches me. Wow, that’s so that’s the assumption. Depends on where it goes off. I mean, there’s a lot of talk right now about you know, potential and this is conspiracy theory. But you know, so many conspiracy theories have come true in the last year or two a sec. Wait till this reality. Yeah, yeah, so close, but not too close. But visually, you know, they’re in very much alive and part of your world. So I’m I’m sort of sad that that I think is what it’s going to take to have people join the I’m sure they’ll find ways to fight amongst each other as as we always do anyway, though, which is unfortunate. Yeah. I worry about the security side of things like, you know, it’s more my Yeah, I mean, that’s a that’s a complicated subject, right? Because if you involve weapons of any kind, you have to have training. And so like we had George Hawley. Oh, yeah, yeah. Yeah. For MYP. Yeah, we’ve had a couple of, of cops. My dad was a police officer for 32 years, Minneapolis, PD. And so I use the lingo. Police officers, not cops. Yeah, so they’ve come in to do a few different training what you have access to, and then it’s just a matter of practice. Right? You can, I wouldn’t expect anybody to be able to defend their home if they didn’t have a fair amount of training. I think also, you know, it’s going to be, I think, If I lived in a big city, I think I would expect people to be more aggressive, especially people that are villainous, to come and take things from here and trained personnel and everything else to where you got to think twice. So why people don’t kick indoors in North Idaho. It’s not. It’s not a terrible idea. There’s somebody plan. Welcome to the jungle in the backyard. They’re just like, I’ve waited for this moment, my whole life. Castle Doctrine. Right. Yeah, I think you’re right. And you know, there, there will be a criminal element. I think, you know, we all know that, like the military, the police that that is their job is to keep them at bay. not, that’s not what our aid for so. So then it would rely on those tight knit communities. of people just coming together and banding together, like neighbors trusting each other. And I think that’s very important to have that. Because we got a neighborhood plan to, there are a lot of resources online, I should actually link to a few of those, we can do that on my website and you and you to where they have, you can you can the brain power that has to be applied to it. In order to make it useful. You know what I like about one thing I like about North Idaho of the many. You go to the range here, I like to go to Fernand Gun Club, that’s a great spot. You go there on any given day, and you will rates 150 Plus beats a minute, and making good decisions still, like sometimes not shooting is the better choice, right. And that requires training and it requires consistent training like at least Yeah, when they make it easy for you to I mean, these these instructors are excellent. They are very personable. It’s not like you walk in there and you have to feel awkward or anything you go in and that first step, right. Yeah, yeah. And you know, you can get plenty proficient pretty fast if you if you have focused attention on it. You know, you might not be SEAL Team Six, but that’s okay. Those guys live up here know, it’s funny you said about people leaving funny kind of side story. When I was a fireman, they bury Fox, one of our chiefs. He comes in and he’s like this, he told us some story about some guy home. Like, I’m not here to protect everybody with no resources. Man, that’s just not what it is. You know what? You say that and I know if it came down to it, you’re gonna go do the job that you have to do, right? Because I’ve done it twice and piss my wife off badly. Right? Where you know, your family was safe. There was that? So that’s my that’s my thing. There’s a disaster. And I don’t know my family safe. Later. Yeah, yeah, that’s good. That’s my number one. Good point. And that makes all the difference. Yeah, I could have saved my guns. Yeah, I wouldn’t go for that. But I told him, I’m like, You tell me communications down. I don’t know what my family’s doing 45 minutes away. Yeah, I’m out of here do it’s a really important thing to consider too, is that there are some groups around here who are working, you get law enforcement, and you get, you know, the government organizations and stuff. And won’t be a system in place that is clear. Or easy to, to get to, because that system won’t be there anymore. Because everybody’s going to go back to their own. Yeah, especially in the in the immediate, you know, what I mean? Like once guys, and gals figure out their family safe, okay, we’ve got some stability, and it’s been a couple of weeks or however long. Okay, I think there’s gonna be groups, you know, like militia groups and stuff like that. I mean, they are going to be the top of the food chain. And a lot of you know, they’re already organized. They’ve about this, those are going to play a big role in North Idaho and other places in the country, too. I mean, you think of gangs right? Down in LA, those gangs are organized, that’s a group that is organization that, yeah, like even you look at some of the statistics, just verbal statistics coming out of like, churches that they focus, even some of their doctrine around being prepared. And they I’m just gonna hit Costco on the on the way out of town. Right? Yeah, good to go. I had somebody once told me and down in California, they said, Oh, man, if we get the big earthquake, we’re gonna be defending Walmart to make sure people don’t come take the stuff and like, people would overlook. You know, you get something like that where people go and raid stores people are gonna take food water medication supplies right away. Fire extinguishers are big thing. Oh, Dave was Dave was a fire captain. So let me just preface that he was a firefighter before cops, I spent a lot of recourse. Of course you would think about fireworks. I’m gonna get a recliner from the fire station. Finally, I’m gonna have a recliner. I can’t get out of that. And you have to hear extinguishers, right? Yeah, darn right. I’ll get my recliner to check shows to every so make sure that they’re still fine. They’ll have a little binder with all your answers. Don’t let a tenant and just don’t let a CHP teach you how to use these things. Hey, I have successfully use them multiple times. So one thing I was allowed to do, we used to get on scene and conquer the Hornet. You guys. Well, what are you doing? That’s our job. We don’t go arrest the bad guys. Don’t worry. I already put it out. Fellas. You’re good? Yeah. Thank you. I would like to sleep. Yeah, so Okay. This is overwhelming. Where’s the first place someone would start like, number one is number two. So water and food. Okay. Now what about water? So I always say like, I know you can boil water. That would be a pain in the ass. If you’re trying to boil enough water for a family of four. We live in the land of water up here. So I’ve always said We have one thing at our shop, you can buy them in a variety of different places, but in water distiller, which is reverse osmosis, same thing. And so you just put it on your stove, or wherever distiller to me is the probably the best way to go. Okay. My kids be like, I don’t like to taste. Yeah, cuz it doesn’t taste like anything. It’s just h2o. Right? What about this honest question you live on, like ponderay? How terrible is it to just go drink the water. So I if you had to, you could, but that is standing water. You know, it’s deep, and it’s cold. And it’s all of the things, I would try to distill it. Or I would use a is still throw the goose shit out. Well, the reason I bring that up, right, I mean, going back to local tribes, and people lived here for 1000s of years, did they filter their water? They have a different gut biome fully agree. So you’d get there eventually, right after you had Giardia if it didn’t die, right? So that’s why I’m asking because there’s going to be people that do that, you know, we should start training for that Dave, I’m gonna go underwater and drink. Well, that’s why I think what I was mentioning before with the, the chlorine dioxide and there are other things that you can use outside of that, but that’s a that’s a Is it like a little tablet I used to have when we were in Boy Scouts, I don’t remember what it’s called. But it was these little tablets we had dropped there are there’s a tablet version of it and I can give you information on that in the shop or you can you can buy a bag of that that would last you years. Okay, that will clean all of your water. What that I got my Berkey filter. I’ll just carry that around with me. Yeah, turkeys are great. These life straws and stuff that say they remove 99.9% of the pathogens and stuff. Are those pretty safe ones where you get it. Yeah, a lot of people are shipping those in from cheap knockoffs from China or something. Yeah. So make sure that you go with a reputable company. Got it. Okay, so water. What was the other one? Food and Beverage or food? Yeah, those are like those two just because you have those two and then your shelter obviously would be for most of us, it would just be our home. And then we talked about firepower and not send a smoke signal. Yeah. Yeah, I guess like from the security standpoint, what would be really challenging is that nighttime right? Yep. You’re you can’t eat may not just be able to go to sleep with the kids. Right? Somebody’s gonna i So when I did a lot of wilderness preparedness, things like that. So I mean, I don’t disagree with this. But I know that our first priority was shelter over water and food. Food, obviously, we can go something where you’re going to have people that if they don’t have shelter, granted, I mean, we still have our homes, we still have stuff like that. But I mean, the the perspective that I’m trying to bring to the table with this, though, is I don’t disagree with you. Yeah, I’m the major scenarios. It was a wilderness anyways, right? Yeah, I’m just water Bob or this. I have an Alexa pure type where you just have a big plastic bag basically that has a that has a spout on it, that you put in your bathtub. If something goes wrong, fill it up. And have bathtub. Where do we find you? If things go bad? Be she won’t find her. I won’t be here. A number we can call anywhere we can meet you smokes, I probably will go back over a few of these things. Yeah, no, we have a plan and it doesn’t include staying doesn’t include you, Dave. Well, dang it. What’s like, okay, so we talked about the very base level, what’s like, the high level? What’s what’s, what’s the pinnacle here that you may never achieve? But Yeah. So you know, this is gonna sound a little vague, but I think it’s doing as much as you can, with the time that you have now, like asking that question of yourself. If it happened today, like I would honestly be caught up in the humor of the situation that we were podcasting about the mechanical minute, but once I got kind of cold in this podcast, but good luck. You know what I’m saying? I know nobody who has everything on this list. This is this is nine pages long? Well, 10 pages if you talk about the spiritual preparedness, because I think that that’s a big strong component. Yeah. But I know nobody who has all of this stuff, and I don’t think you need to have all of this stuff. I think you need to be just very specific about where your personal gaps are work from the bottom up. I’m really bummed about the whole bathtub liner because we just pulled out our bathtub and put it in a shower. So you mocked me because I have I only have a bathtub which is a wash so I’m good. Depending on the size of the shower, you could actually profit in between like I’ll figure it all figured out. Yeah, good luck. Those are awesome. You don’t have to take up all that because they store in a package about this big but they hold 60 to 80 gallons of water. Oh wow. But in the better your new truck. Yeah. It’s not new to me to you. Excuse me. This is super cool. This is a great load of information. Is there a way we can Upload this. I have, like, you can download it for free of course. And there’s a lot of other information out there. That’s also perfect. Well, I will definitely link your website and then you can find it on there. And peruse that. So if you’re local and you live in North Idaho congratulations, you complete step one. You can just pop I’m usually there mornings, because that’s when everybody’s drinking coffee. Yeah. And but I do, I will package anything up for you that you get on my website, which is everything that I have in the What are some of the unusual things that you would sell there that I might not guess? I’m unusual things. So I have sold a lot of slingshots. Oh, really, really, really, really strange. I bought those just because I thought they were sort of funky. And I don’t have one. And so yeah, I’ve sold quite a few of those. I do have a lot of supplies that are around stuff my kids won’t eat. So do you have chicken nuggets that sprout like that as well? I think you might be surprised if you get them involved in I’ll give you you bring this home, give it to your wife and have her set. I know you probably won’t do it, but she she will go to Kristen. Sprouts. I’ll take them I’ll pick them up at the salad bar. Yeah, they’re good. Wow. Yeah. So use some of those. I have one thing that I would like to plug that I don’t actually offer but I can get you connected with the person who does is gold back. Okay, you know, what’s that? No I want to see it. So it’s like a very thin sheet of gold in my in my purse, which is right there. Sorry, good luck, you’ll never find anything. And it’s probably just because these are going to be instead of carrying around a piece of silver like if the grid went down or if they wanted us to start using just digital currency, right? This is what’s coming. This is what I’m each state has their own artwork. Okay, that goes on these. They are based out of Salt Lake City. And if you just look at gold backed.com So this is between $1 and $2 Right now, basically, no, that’s worth almost five. Really? Yep. Yeah. 1000 Isn’t that one 1000 based off the ounce of gold of gold? Yeah. Plus, there’s a little bit of an increase because of the technology that they use to get it in that but it will trade back to you at that same price. Have you used any of these in town quarterly? I’ve used them at life really? Dave takes no way. Yeah. Yeah. coolest way to buy cops and quite a few of the shops locally here and especially as you head further north. I’m Rich redneck is the name of our, the guy that sort of runs this area directly with gold back and he’s fantastic. He best price would be 25 bucks about says 2020. It’s 25 Gold backs 25 times the one God, that would be about $125. A little bit less than Wow. Have you melted one of these down yet? I have not. But again I go back to Mike Adams and his show he actually did that live on camera. I want to melt one of these down. So where can we go to buy these? So Rich redneck? I’ll give you his link. He will get you hooked up directly with the company. They will send them to you. Okay, directly. That would be cool. I’m gonna melt one of that we need to do that on here. We need to melt one down. Fascinating. Want to see it? Don’t understand. I’ve never heard of this. I love it. I gotta see it when I look at the back like that is clearly and they’re beautiful and gold. Yeah, they’re really cool. They’re amazing. So it’s Yeah, it’s they describe the whole entire process and the materials that they use on their website gold pack.com. Yeah, this one’s a South Dakota gold back and it’s got a picture of a they have like New Hampshire. There’s six states and oil. Maybe them here soon. Idaho has already approved it. They are just in the process of getting there. As far as I know, their designs, like registered and is super cool. Yeah. So this is one four, this one’s 1/48 of an ounce. 40 of these would be an ounce of gold. That’s pretty neat. It’s all based on weight. Okay. Yeah. Yeah, that’s a good point. Right? What would what would currency look like? I mean, maybe ammo. Maybe it’d be a bartering system. I don’t know. But it is handy to have some. That’s what we have at the top of the pyramid too, is barter. Anything that you have, that’s extra, I think for some washers, that would come into play pretty quickly. Fire extinguishers. 50 gold, but I’ll give you 122 Bullet for that. Thank you. So I’m gonna keep that Yeah, that’s cool. So, okay, yeah, we’ll definitely link your website, on the podcast notes when it comes out so people I think the most important thing that I’d like to just communicate to people is don’t be afraid. You know, just dive in, learn some stuff. Understand that, you know, anything that you do with regard to Is that the spiritual? That you had mentioned? That’s that mutates every single other aspect of it. Right? Yeah, get get right with God. Yeah. And everybody can do that in their own way. But I think that, you know, having an internal fortitude to stand up and say point you’re never gonna last forever anyway. Yeah, I think that’s the really hard part is is you know, just accepting where you’re at, because some things are just completely out of our control. 12 step, there’s like a Alcoholics Anonymous. Yeah. Like, everyone, I can’t remember or control the things you can learn to basically learn to let go. Yeah, I can’t. I haven’t been yet. I haven’t either. Long story. Good point. But yeah, so um, you know, it’s really just don’t be, don’t be afraid of it. It’s not something that it’s not something that we sit around and talk about it like, you know, dinner parties or whatever, but maybe we should. Yeah, a little bit, right. I don’t think there should be any stigma around it. And I think it’s okay to talk about that. It’s smart to have a plan. It’s not weird requests and not be shocked by you know, you may not want to listen to all of the things that news junkies like myself, you know, I’ve got like all of the major podcasts going on in the background at you.
