May is here and Spring is in the air!

Our Farmer’s Markets are opening back up, school’s are out next month, and the sun is shining more days than it’s not. It’s the start of morel mushroom hunting, hiking, and warm weather activities. The quick launch at Hagadone Marine is open and boats are on the water!

It is an incredible time to buy a home here in North Idaho where the flowers are blooming and the weather is turning beautiful. There is so much to offer up here! Farmer's Market

Prairie & 95 Farmers’ Market: May-October, Saturdays, 9am – 1:30pm.

Riverstone Farmers’ Market: May-September, Wednesdays, 4pm – 7pm.

5th Street Farmers Market: May15th-Oct 19th, Wednesdays from 4pm – 7pm

Come enjoy fresh bread, handmade crafts, and local food vendors serving snacks, meals, and delectable desserts. These farmers’ markets have a little something for everyone—one of the absolute highlights of our beautiful North Idaho summers.

Hayden Kite Festival

Hayden Kite Festival: May 11th, 12 – 2:30pm. Broadmoore Park, 2691 W Broadmoore Dr., Hayden. Admission is free. Bring a picnic lunch and enjoy time with your family. There will be awards for Best Flyer, Crash & Burn, and more! If you have questions, call 208.209.1080.

 

National Police Week

National Police Week: May 12th – May 18th. Join us in thanking the Men and Woman that protect our communities. Buy them a cup of coffee, a meal, and most importantly, let them know they are appreciated!

 

Race the Joe

May 17th-May 19th. Admission is FREE for the whole family. This jam-packed weekend begins with the Show & Shine on Main St Friday night where you can meet all the drivers and their race boats up close. Honor the Fallen Ruck March

May 19th, 9am – 3pm. North Idaho Archery, 420 East Front Avenue, Coeur d’Alene. Pack a bag full of non-perishables and take a 6-mile hike, beginning at Mcuen Park. Newby-Ginnings will have a truck at the end to receive the food donations for his non-profit organization that supports veterans. Food and beverages will be available afterward.
