Happy Spring!
The snow has finally melted, and spring is officially here! Although the weather can’t seem to make up its mind, at least we can swap out our snow tires now! And don’t forget to schedule your sprinklers to be turned on. With Morel hunting season on the horizon, it’s time to dust off your foraging buckets, grab your best friend, and enjoy the beautiful nature in North Idaho we are blessed to call home.

How to Manage Stress When Buying & Selling Your Home
Remember to Breathe
It seems silly and overly simple to just remember to inhale and exhale, but panic begins when breathing stops. Houses are huge decisions, and it’s in these moments where we activate our sympathetic nervous system–where fight or flight sets in. Simply taking a moment to catch our breath can do a lot to help calm the rest of our body, allowing us to make a more informed decision.
Find Yourself a Good Agent
It is essential that you have someone you can trust in your back corner. Someone who knows the ins and outs of the industry. An expert who is up to date on market trends and laws. Big decisions are always easier when we have a guide to reference, ask complex questions, and navigate us through probably the largest purchase of our lives.
Engage in Activities You Enjoy
Often one major decision can put the rest of our lives on hold, but it doesn’t have to be this way. In fact, having something to look forward to can really improve our mental health throughout our real estate journey. Plan small activities with friends and family to process the ups and downs of each stage. Celebrate the wins and relinquish the losses.

April Eats
Buying a coffee in the morning doesn’t usually take much brain power. In fact, most of us don’t function until that first cup of joe. But buying a house and selling your home takes all the brain power, and for many of us, we’re just not equipped to do it alone.
In addition to passing an exam on the rules and regulations of the mortgage industry, real estate agents often act as advisors, therapists, and lawyers. They help their clients understand the nuances of the market, explore their feelings about the property, and explain the intricacies of easements and other divisions of responsibilities between neighbors.
Because of the vast expanse of knowledge and skillsets a realtor must possess to meet your needs, full-time agents will generally be better able to serve you than someone who dabbles in real estate. A specialist is almost always preferred to a novice, and you need a professional who is entrenched in the market, an expert at their craft.
Where a cup of coffee might cost you a few dollars, a house will cost you a few hundred thousand or more. It’s important to choose wisely when deciding who will advise you, who will share the burden of responsibility with you.
